WHERE THE WILD HEATHER GROWS

Another painting today- while in Scotland I took MANY pictures (much to Lisa’s dismay πŸ˜‚πŸ™„) of the beautiful sturdy horses in the rolling fields bright green from the autumn rains, the heather breaking up the green with splashes of mauve and purple and this particular gray (maybe white? It was muddy out) beauty, mane longer than I’d ever seen, standing against the wind-mane whipping in every direction in wild abandon-

WHERE THE WILD HEATHER GROWS-20×20 mixed media

Inspired by a moment in the Scottish Highlands.
In a field beneath the Highland skies, he stood, weathered and wild, his long mane dancing with the wind.
Among the thistle and heather, where old songs linger and the earth holds its stories, there was a quiet strength in his presence.
A fleeting encounter, a lasting memory.
Some places never truly leave us. They live on in the colors, the music, and the wild beauty we carry home.

chaos-leave me never, keep me wild and keep me free, so that my brokenness will be the only beauty the world will see
